The Family

My wife Cindi and I make our home in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I work as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Along with my solo singing engagements, I also sing with InSpirit Men's Chorus. There are always a few song ideas on my mind and at present I am working on two new songs.

Cindi also sings and has a beautiful soprano voice. We have enjoyed singing together on many occasions, and in fact we met through music while in college together. Cindi is an administrative assistant in the Financial Administration department at Southern Adventist University. She has a vivacious personality, and people who meet her like her instantly. She enjoys spending time with friends and with our two children - Steven, 24 and Emily, 22.

Steven is in management at P.F. Chang's, an up-scale Chinese restaurant in Chattanooga. Steven is a versatile trumpet player, being both an excellent sight-reader and also playing by ear. You can hear his beautiful tone on the We Have a Home track on the new CD. He also enjoys playing the piano, horsemanship, and cooking. Steven serves as webmaster for martinyoungmusic.com, and his help with the project has been invaluable. Steven's wife Wendy is a delightful person and a very welcome addition to our family. She is joining the team at The Melting Pot restaurant as a server and working with marketing.

Emily is a senior mass communications:writing and editing major at Southern Adventist University. She is Editor-in-Chief for The Southern Accent, the school's student paper. She also does freelance work for Adventist Health in Rosedale, California and recently accepted an internship with Habitat For Humanity. Emily is a talented writer and has written a number of articles which have been accepted for publication in Insight magazine and others. She is also an experienced photographer, doing all the photography and assisting with the graphic design for the CD.
